Distortions in eating behavior are significant bio-psycho-social diseases with increasing dissemination among all ages, ethnic groups, and social strata of society and between the two sexes. Eating disorders ED are characterized by a persistent disturbance of eating or eating-related behavior that significantly impairs physical health and psychosocial functioning. Despite their negative long term impact and high % chronicity and suicidality, these syndromes (ED) are not yet taken seriously even among the medical and health related professional areas. That is what this webinar will be about. Due to its audience will be 100% Bulgarians from the helping professions and students, the webinar will be presented at the native Bulgarian language of this International Chapter in Eastern Europe.

Presenter is Dr. Elisaveta Pavlova. She is a Counseling Psychologist, Trainer and Lecturer with more than 8 years’ experience in the eating disorders field. She obtained her CEDS designation with IAEDP, and become the first and only Eating Disorders Certified Specialist in Bulgaria.  She holds a private practice at Varna city, where she is the Founder and President of the First Bulgarian Organization for Eating Disorders -Association UNIKAL. Dr. Elisaveta Pavlova is the first professional Intuitive Eating Certified Counselor, and the Chairperson of the IAEDP’s International Chapter in Bulgaria, too.
